Adweek Digital Hot List: Year of Mobile Arrives in 2009

Adweek has announced their picks for this year's Digital Hot List and have placed the iPhone at number five of the ten leaders in digital tech, including Facebook, Hulu, and Twitter. Once called the Jesus Phone, the iPhone has shown the industry what is possible in mobile computing. Just two years after launch, Apple has sold over 30 million iPhone and iPod touches. Over 1.5 billion applications have been downloaded (100,000 now approved in-store), bringing an estimated $2.4 billion in sales. While Apple has done much to pave the way for the industry today, there remains a lot of room for improvement, which will be seen in the years to come.
