Last Night's SoundCtrl Event with Clive Davis

Last night record producer and Sony music’s Chief Creative Officer, Clive Davis, spoke to NYU students at an event organized by his namesake department, the Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music. Davis was interviewed by the evening’s moderator, Bill Werde, who currently acts as Billboard magazine’s editorial director.
We helped organize the event as part of SoundCTRL, a meet-up on the convergence of music and technology. Efforts were spearheaded by its co-founder Jesse Kirshbaum, as well as Jason King, the artistic director of the Clive Davis Department. Students in Tisch School professor Kobi Wu-Pasmore's “Curating Live Music Events” class also helped bring the event to life.

MobileBehavior created opportunities for the audience to interact through their mobile phones both before and during the event. Biographies for Clive Davis and Bill Werde, directions to the event, information on the night’s sponsors and supporters, and a sweepstakes for concert tickets were all available via text message opt-ins. MobileBehavior provided the platform and the call-to-action for these opportunities, which were displayed front and center on projectors during the entire event.
