Google Acquires Mobile Advertising Network

Google has announced it is acquiring mobile ad network, AdMob, for $750 million in stock. Since its early beginnings as a Silicon Valley startup, AdMob has served more than 125 billion mobile ads across a diverse group of platforms including the iPhone and the Android. Advertising in the mobile space yields a number of opportunities for the future of Google because it already has launched a number of products, this deal greatly accelerates the effort.
