Mozilla Raindrop: This Inbox Adapts to Today’s Splintering Communication

The explosion of social media has altered the way we digitally communicate, turning Microsoft Outlook into a seemingly ancient dinosaur. We tweet, like, and share to communicate with a simple click of the mouse or in less than 140 characters. Everything has become micro and passing. Google saw our changing habits and a need to adapt, so they created Wave. Mozilla is also on the ball with a new project called Raindrop. They claim to build around your existing communications to "make your inbox personal again." It pulls notifications from social media sites to then automatically organize them according to priority. Instead of building a web app and then a mobile adaptation, Raindrop is being designed for both from the start. Makes sense if you're trying to simplify modern communication. See here for more shots of the mobile interface.
